Moore-Mac Christmas Parties
In December we put our competitive nature and cooking skills to the test. Our annual holiday gathering was at the Cooking Skills Academy, in Itasca. This fantastic venue offers Iron Chef inspired classes, where we were allowed to break out into teams and compete in a cooking competition. Our secret ingredient was “masa”, a corn flour used in Mexican dishes. Our skilled chef showed us ways to use the masa, and then let us battle it out for a 25 min cookoff. The judging was intense, but in the end, Team 2 was the victor, making a roasted pepper topped empanada. After the heat of the competition wore off, the group gathered for some delicious food, drinks and conversation. It was a wonderful celebration of a great year!
Highlighting another great event, and the end of another successful year, the Moore-Mac Team let loose on some team building activities and a wonderful dinner together. They did their best to attack an escape room in Schaumburg. While neither team made it out in time, it is rumored that Team Brashler made it farther along the puzzle filled rooms. Rumor also has it that the entire team is being investigated for PED use. More to come.
